Integrating AppInsights as a native capability

With this release, AppInsights is integrated directly into the Marketplace so that analytics behaves no longer as a separate product, but a native capability. It removes the requirement to assign the AppInsights product to users, reducing provisioning overhead and inconsistency. Access is governed by Marketplace roles and context, aligning availability with how users work. Existing dashboards continue to be accessible and load inside the Marketplace experience. Dashboard content, metrics, data models, and visualizations remain unchanged.

What's new

• Native Marketplace access — AppInsights appears as a native entry in the Marketplace top navigation bar with an AppInsights icon and label.
• Role-based permissions — Access is controlled through Marketplace roles instead of AppInsights product assignment.
• No product syndication — AppInsights is no longer distributed as a Network product syndicated to each marketplace and assigned per user.

Accessing AppInsights

Click the AppInsights icon on the top navigation to open AppInsights.

📝 Note: The AppInsights icon appears in the Marketplace top navigation when the marketplace uses the universal header with the latest theme. In marketplaces that use the universal header with an older theme, the icon may not be displayed. Users with an eligible role can still access AppInsights at /insights/app until the marketplace navigation theme is updated.

The following roles have default access:

• Marketplace Manager
• Reseller + Company Admin
• Reseller
• Reseller Manager
• Company Admin
